Meet the Filmmaker: Merritt Crocker, “Moon Studios”

Q: What are we going to see at the EFP? Has it screened elsewhere and what are your plans for it?
MC: Moon Studios is my first narrative effort. It is about food, music and individuality. Some very talented musicians donated their skills and, as a result, a few original tracks from the movie have surfaced as free downloads.

Also, this movie features cult director, writer, occasional actor and always venerable Alex Cox in a twisted role as The Colonel- a hungry record producer at the helm of a dark regime.

Q: What else are you working on?
MC: Currently I am working to replenish all of the karma I absorbed while making the movie. Thanks to everyone, it was crazy and fun.

Q: Where can people go to find out more about you and your work?
MC: Some silly animations and early stuff I made exist on a youtube channel under the name Paprice Sarcuzzi. These short pieces go great with Cookies and Milk.

Moon Studios will screen September 18th at The Emerging Filmmakers Project.
