Read Between the Signs
Meet Clayton Garthe. Clayton will be premiering his film Read Between The Signs at the February EFP. Eileen recently sat down with him to discuss the film and the other projects he currently has in the works.
EA: Why did you become a filmmaker?
CG: It was the only answer to the question, Why do I put so much effort into random scripts and stories that will never be told?
EA: What are we going to see at the EFP? Has it screened elsewhere and what are your plans for it?
CG: Read Between The Signs is a love story, it has not been screened elsewhere but we hope to show it at some local festivals.
EA: What else are you working on?
CG: Medical School. But I have a couple other short scripts in the works.
EA: Tell us one weird thing about you and/or your movies?
CG: When I’m developing characters and their arcs, I often imagine myself or my loved ones dying their deaths.
EA: Is there anything you’d like to say about The Emerging Filmmakers Project?
CG: I love that it exists and I’m grateful to be involved.
