While sitting in another boring lecture I decided to change things up a bit and meet up with Lauryn to see what is going on in her busy life. FYI – The answer is always “C”… you’re welcome!
MM: Why did you become a filmmaker?
LG: I never actively decided I wanted to be a filmmaker, it just sort of happened to me! I started with my parent’s handicam filming barbies and my siblings at the age of 10. I took classes in middle school and high school, making video projects whenever I could. And then I decided to major in film in college and here I am today! I became a filmmaker because I wanted to have a job that I loved.
MM: What else are you working on?
LG: I am finishing up my very last semester this upcoming Spring! I will be working on one short narrative and one short documentary. Besides that, we have many client projects we do at Liquid Luck! We are currently wrapping up a promo for a Discovery Channel show.
MM: Where can people go to find out more about you and your work?
LG: Most of our work is on our facebook page: facebook.com/liquidluckp. And our videos are on vimeo: vimeo.com/liquidluck
MM: Is there anything you’d like to say about The Emerging Filmmakers Project?
LG: Support local film!
MM: Thanks Lauryn for taking the time to chat!
Square will screen at the April Emerging Filmmakers Project.
